Policy, Process and Terms and Conditions

If you are looking for information or guidance with Policy and Process that does not fall under the Once for Scotland banner, your first point of contact should be your substantive board HR Department.  

  • NSS staff working in the NHS Louisa Jordan hospital should use the HR Connect Contact Us form as normal. 
  • All other NHS Boards staff should contact their HR Department in the normal way.


Once for Scotland Workforce Policies

From the 1st March 2020, staff across NHSScotland will benefit from a comprehensive refresh of workforce policies which means no matter what NHS Board you are in, the policies will be the same and easily accessible on any device.

Over the past year, NHSScotland employers, trade unions and Scottish Government have worked together to agree a core set of modernised workforce policies and associate supporting documents.

The first phase on policies include: -

  • Attendance
  • Bullying and Harassment
  • Capability
  • Conduct
  • Grievance
  • Workforce Policies Investigation Process
