Health and Safety Policy Review Update
Please see the latest updates to H&S policies, following a policy and procedure review:
Functions of a Partnership Trade Union Appointed Safety Representative Policy (new) –
This policy has been established in order to set out the general functions of safety representative appointed by recognised trade unions. The policy outlines the circumstances under which representatives may be appointed from amongst employees, and advises on the prescribed functions of these appointed representatives.
Health and Safety Overseas Travel Procedure Policy (revised) –
This policy has been reviewed and amended in line with changes to the European Health Insurance Card and Global Health Insurance Card. The policy also includes information on preventing COVID variants from entering the UK and travel guidance regarding amber or red listed countries. It outlines preventative measures to avoid COVID variants from entering the UK, FCDO Travel Advice to understand risks abroad and rules when entering the UK from abroad (except from Ireland).
NHS 24 will not require anyone to travel abroad for work unless there are absolute exceptional circumstances and the employee consents to do so; for further information please see the HR Connect portal.
